I had been practicing as hard as I could for about 2 months in California and was feeling pretty confident going into MLG…

Summary
Day 1
—–
I knew I’d be playing Ganzi, so I was mentally preparing myself the entire day as my match was at 10PM. 7 Cigarettes and a bottle of water later I knew I was ready and prepared to take him on (that and I had no choice). I stepped into the booth, and while my nerves were wracking, I was thinking pretty clearly. I went into game 1 expecting some kind of gas first build from Ganzi since I was told how he played, plus because I’ve seen a lot of his replays.

Wednesday and Thursday before MLG
Where to start… I guess when I received the email from MLG saying I was in group play is a good place to begin. At first, I assumed it was a mistake – I did not even qualify for MLG Arena (despite a good run). I talked to my team about the email in Skype, a few were excited and a couple were in disbelief – KawaiiRice was super jelly. My roommates were also fairly impressed and happy for me. One of them was concerned it was sent the wrong person, but once Binski received the same email I felt pretty certain that it was no mistake.

Day 0
Thursday morning – I woke up at 6 am to catch a flight to Raleigh with my teammate Caliber. We had a pretty uneventful flight – on the connecting flight we had HuK, TubbyTheFat and DJWheat on the same flight though. I guess that was interesting. Both flights came with crying babies in the adjacent row. T-T
